There might be record breaking temps all across the country but summertime screams outdoor dinner parties. We're heading to Colorado in a couple weeks and I'm so excited to sit out on the back deck for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I pulled together no fuss dinner party inspiration using items from Bed, Bath & Beyond just in case you have the itch to dine al fresco like me.
I've never met a theme I didn't like especially when it comes to summer entertaining! With Memorial Day this weekend, you might be tempted to decorate with traditional flag decor but I challenge you to think outside the box a little bit!
We came really close to tearing this porch down but I’m so glad we didn’t! Instead we gave it a much needed facelift and updated some furniture with the help of Tuesday Morning! I knew these blue chairs had to come home with me the minute I saw them in store. I’m so excited about the space and I know we’ll use it a ton this spring and summer!
This room is the definition of a labor of love! Between the Otomi stencil wall my mom and I painted or the countless yarn poms and tassels I made while counting down the final days of my pregnancy, this room was my favorite project yet!
I'm so excited to finally share the before and after of our kitchen remodel! This was our first time renovating and let me tell ya, watching HGTV does NOT mentally prepare you for a project like this haha! We learned a few lessons the hard way and today I'm sharing our biggest takeaways from the process.
On December 17th my life forever changed when my daughter, Piper June was born! The only thing I'm more grateful for than the epidural was having Ailee there capturing the first moment Trent and I met her. Cue the waterworks!
Before Piper was born I had high hopes to scheduling out a bunch of content but between the normal December craze and my lack of motivation, it didn't happen. But you can't win 'em all right?! So this is my first post back and I can't think of a better way to kick off 2018 than an interview with Joy Cho of Oh Joy!
Move over red and green, pink and teal are where it's at this Christmas! It doesn't hurt that they're my favorite colors but I promise this party will make you rethink your traditional holiday color scheme!
I've been a huge fan of the Fashionable Hostess for years now, Amanda's blog is filled with gorgeous inspiration for all things entertaining and home decor. If you're a fan of light and airy spaces and celebrations I highly recommend checking her out! Needless to say I was completely honored when I was asked to create a tablescape for her dinner party series! Check out the rest of the feature here!
I'm so excited to share the photos from the baby shower my best friends and sister hosted for me this past Sunday! To say I was blown away when I walked into the studio is an understatement. Every detail was absolute perfection!
We have a supper club with our group of friends and alternate hosting at each other's houses. Many of our friends have young babies and toddlers, so it’s much easier to stay home and let the kids run around and play while the parents enjoy cocktails and adult conversation. I've been dying to have an outdoor movie night on the porch since our renovation and this seems like the perfect time!
I met Marcia when she graciously invited me to a cooking class at her gorgeous home this spring. Piper was a few months old and it was one of the first events I attended in months. To be honest, I stopped attending events during pregnancy when things were crazy between the remodel and baby prep. But when her email hit my inbox, I knew I wanted to be there! She's such an amazing teacher and focused on recipes we could recreate at home.
Over the fourth of July weekend, Trent, Piper and I had the best staycation at the Four Seasons Houston. Trent and I have stayed there before over July 4th but it now that I'm a mom I have a whole new appreciation for the amenities and convenience.
Now that I'm a mom my usual weekend trips have become few and far between. I'm all about staycations this summer and acting like a tourist in my own city. To highlight some of my favorite local Houston area gems I'm kicking off a new series today! The last Friday of every month, I'll share my picks for where to shop, snack, sip and socialize categorized by neighborhood!
