This room is the definition of a labor of love! Between the Otomi stencil wall my mom and I painted or the countless yarn poms and tassels I made while counting down the final days of my pregnancy, this room was my favorite project yet!
I'm so excited to finally share the before and after of our kitchen remodel! This was our first time renovating and let me tell ya, watching HGTV does NOT mentally prepare you for a project like this haha! We learned a few lessons the hard way and today I'm sharing our biggest takeaways from the process.
On December 17th my life forever changed when my daughter, Piper June was born! The only thing I'm more grateful for than the epidural was having Ailee there capturing the first moment Trent and I met her. Cue the waterworks!
Before Piper was born I had high hopes to scheduling out a bunch of content but between the normal December craze and my lack of motivation, it didn't happen. But you can't win 'em all right?! So this is my first post back and I can't think of a better way to kick off 2018 than an interview with Joy Cho of Oh Joy!
Move over red and green, pink and teal are where it's at this Christmas! It doesn't hurt that they're my favorite colors but I promise this party will make you rethink your traditional holiday color scheme!
I've been a huge fan of the Fashionable Hostess for years now, Amanda's blog is filled with gorgeous inspiration for all things entertaining and home decor. If you're a fan of light and airy spaces and celebrations I highly recommend checking her out! Needless to say I was completely honored when I was asked to create a tablescape for her dinner party series! Check out the rest of the feature here!
I'm so excited to share the photos from the baby shower my best friends and sister hosted for me this past Sunday! To say I was blown away when I walked into the studio is an understatement. Every detail was absolute perfection!
Who doesn't want to make life easier? Since hearing about Emily Ley's mission to make life simpler with the Simplified Planner, I've had a girl crush on her and her booming business! I love her colorful lifestyle as well as her love for family. I'm honored to have her as the next guest on the Cultivating Kindness series!
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays (second to Christmas, of course!) mainly because it's an excuse to dress up in a fun costume. I've DIY-ed a lot of costumes for myself over the years but this year you can tell my mind is consumed with all things baby because this is my second round of kids costumes! In case you missed it, I shared a fun toddler costume last week featuring Ailee's oldest daughter Isla that you can check out here!
Today I'm sharing my first DIY Halloween costume idea of the season. I'm all about making a costume one of a kind but I also don't like spending hours making something that will be worn for a few hours. The costume is equal parts adorable and easy, win-win in my book! When Smarties asked me to come up with a children's costume inspired by a strong, influential person in history as part of their "Smarties Throughout History" campaign, I quickly brainstormed a VERY long list of impactful women.
As someone who grew up celebrating every single holiday including half birthdays, I'm having SO much fun experiencing holidays as a new mom. I love the color scheme, the sweets and a reason to make the people in my life feel extra special.
I fully intended to share this on Friday but life happened and we're dealing with some tummy issues for little Piper June. We're going to the doctor this morning and hoping she can shed some light on the situation. I can't handle seeing her so uncomfortable! There were some tough moments but there were also some good ones that I'm sharing below!
Little Piper June is now seven weeks old and it's crazy to look at these photos from only a few weeks ago and see how much she's already changed. Cue the tears! But I have to say, the first month of Piper's life was been well documented thanks to my amazing best friend Ailee!
I started following Ashley Brooke a couple years ago and she's been one of my favorite people to follow ever since! At the time she was creating products featuring her gorgeous handwriting and illustrations but nowadays she focuses solely on her lifestyle blog. I love watching her brand evolve and the content she creates is always gorgeous. Plus you can tell from her Insta stories she's genuinely one of the sweetest people ever, making her my kinda girl!
TGIF! To say this week was a doozy would be an understatement. Between Piper's growth spurt, a huge organization project and balancing work from home mom life, it's safe to say I'm glad it's Friday. It definitely wasn't all bad, we had a handful of highlights including this precious Cake & Confetti onesie!
