DRESSING YOUR BUMP FOR THE HOLIDAYS

I'm a huge fan of sparkly outfits, you might have seen my sparkly birthday brunch on NYE last year. Sequins were definitely encouraged! :) Just because I'm super pregnant this holiday season doesn't mean I have to miss out on all the festive fun! I've tried to mix maternity wear with non-maternity staples my whole pregnancy and the holidays are no exception. You just have to be a little more creative when it comes to pulling outfits together.

TIPS FOR DRESSING YOUR BUMP FOR THE HOLIDAYS:

  • Choose comfortable shoes! I commend the girls I see nine months pregnant still wearing heels. I don't think I've worn heels since my baby shower in October..comfort is key for me these days! Athleisure is so trendy right now and I definitely use this trend to my advantage. I'm all about mixing dressier pieced with sneakers!
  • Stick to black or darker colors for the sparkly statement pieces. I'm pretty sure if I wore a silver sequin jacket right now I'd look like a disco ball, haha!
  • I've found dresses are much more flattering and comfortable than pants or jeans right now. While I typically don't like tight clothes, you want the dress to hug your bump at least a little bit to avoid looking bigger than you are especially if you'll be in photos.

I've included some things I own and other ideas for dressing your bump during the holidays!
