Cinco de Mayo is one of my favorite "holidays" because of the bright colors and fun festivities, and the drinks make it even better! I have three go to Mexican cocktails that I love making for a group or just for Trent and me- the Paloma, the Jalapeno Margarita and the Minialmist Margartia.

This is one of my very favorites- it's simple yet flavorful. I found this easy recipe and now it's one of my go-to's when my friends come over!
1 ½ cups silver tequila
4 ½ cups grapefruit soda
juice of 6 limes + lime wedges to garnish
Combine tequila, grapefruit soda, and lime juice in a pitcher and stir. Pour over ice-filled glasses and garnish each with a wedge of lime.
This is such a great drink if you like a little bit of a kick. Made with fresh jalapenos, it's spicy yet still refreshing.
1/2 cup fresh-squeezed lime juice
1/2 large green jalapeno pepper, sliced thin
4 ounces silver tequila
2 lime wedges for garnish
In the bottom of a pitcher, muddle the jalapeno slices with the lime juice. Add the tequila and stir. Add salt to the rim of each glass and fill with the margarita mix. Garnish with a lime and enjoy!
A minimalist margarita is just as it sounds- minimal. This is Trent's favorite and makes me squirm a little with each sip.
4 oz of tequila
1/2 cup of fresh-squeezed lime juice
splash of agave orange liquor
lime wedges for garnish
Add tequila and lime juice into a salted rimmed glass then add a splash of agave. Serve with a lime garnish.
